Soybean Pretreatment Process
Pretreatment is a series of treatments such as cleaning, crushing, peeling, softening, rolling and swelling of soybeans before extracting oil, aiming at removing impurities and making soybeans into materials with certain structural properties to meet the requirements of different processes.

Cleaning
Soybeans in the harvest, transportation and storage process may be mixed with some impurities, mainly dust, sand, stone, metal, stems and leaves, skin and so on. Usually using screening, magnetic separation, wind separation and other methods and corresponding equipment to remove impurities in the seeds.

Crushing
The surface area of the crushed soybean is increased, which is conducive to the transfer of temperature and water during softening, improve the softening effect, and prepare for the subsequent rolling process. Generally the seeds needs to be crushed into 4-6 petals.

Softening & Rolling
Softening is to adjust the soybean moisture and temperature, reduce the powder and stick roller phenomenon in the rolling process, ensure the quality of billet.
Rolling is the process of making soybeans from grain to flake by mechanical action, which is good for the extraction of oil and improving the steaming effect.
04.
Extrusion and expansion
Extruding is the process of converting the crushed and rolled soybeans into porous extruded pellets by extruding equipment. Extruding is mainly used in solvent extraction process.




Pressing Process

With the help of mechanical external force, the method of extruding oil from oil is called pressing oil.General there are screw oil press machine and hydraulic oil press machine. According to whether the raw material needs to be roasted, it can be divided into cold pressing and hot pressing. The hot pressing has a high oil yield, the color of the oil is slightly darker, and the cake is generally used as feed due to protein denaturation. The cold-pressed oil yield is lower, the color of the oil is light, and the cake can be used as a raw material for eating protein powder or feed.

Solvent Extraction Process

Soybeans have a relatively low oil content (15-22%). In order to obtain more oil and considerable economic benefits, solvent extraction is often used to produce soybean oil. The extraction method mainly uses solvent (hexane) to fully soak the treated soybean, so that the oil in the soybean can be extracted as much as possible. After extraction, the residual oil in the meal is generally less than 1%. Soybean meal can also be used to process animal feed.

Soybean Oil Refining Process
Generally, unrefined oil is called crude oil, which often contain a range of impurities, such as suspended impurities, moisture, phospholipids, free fatty acids, pigments, waxes, etc. The removal of these impurities can make the acid value, peroxide value, moisture content, color and odor of the oil meet the qualified standard, which is beneficial to improve the safety and storage stability of the oil. Refining process can be divided into degumming, deacidification, decolorization, deodorization and dewaxing steps according to the requirements.
